Application Sales Engineer
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Application Sales Engineer will promote, demonstrate and assist in analyzing customer requirements and designing integration with 3rd-party
business systems and wired/wireless communication systems to improve organizational performances using Connexall application suite with
Partners and Customers. You will act as the subject matter expert and play a critical role in defining customer’s business needs and software
functionality.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assume leadership role in analyzing customer requirements, business objectives, workflow analysis; perform site-surveys and assist in
designing appropriate solutions using Company products and services
- Have special, in-depth knowledge of customers’ business to enhance the technical team's understanding of project deliverables
- Act in an expert advisory role to provide input and support to the implementation team
- Responsible for maintaining up-to-date expertise in Connexall application vertical areas in order to participate in evaluating, defining and
designing Connexall workflow processes
- Anticipate emerging technologies that could benefit customer needs and fits with Connexall’s overall solution strategy
INTERACTIONS
- Play a critical role in defining customer’s business needs and software functionality.
- Meet face-to-face with key decision makers, understand customer challenges, present solutions and close new business; Manage day-today
relationships with existing customers and build relationships with new customers
- Deliver sales and technical presentations, provide technical designs, proposals and business cases
- Assist customers with software integration issues as well as helping partners overcome software architectural challenges
- Assist internal software developers to create working solutions that arise from customer requirements
- Participates in conferences, end-user and sales channel meetings to explain, demonstrate and educate potential customers on the
Connexall solution’s application
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills with the ability to write business correspondence. Create procedural documentation and
develop the technical responses to requests for proposals, RFI/RFP responses and information inquiries.
- Bilingual (English and French) a strong asset
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Undergraduate Degree in IT related engineering
- 2-4 years related experience in selling integration solutions (e.g. healthcare and security), wired and wireless telecommunications and / or
software applications (New graduate with excellent background will also be considered)
- Knowledge of 802.11 technologies; experience in telecom, voice, data, convergent a must;
- Solid track record of solution selling and has demonstrated ability to successfully meet and exceed targets by generating new revenue
- Self motivated, positive with "can-do" attitude, take independent actions and participate in self-development activities and keep up with
emerging technologies.
- Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development.
- Able to exercise independent judgment and take subsequent action.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills. Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication
skills.
- Keen attention to detail, logical and efficient. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
- Technical consultation background an asset.
