EXPANSION CLIENTS
GlobeStar Systems continuously assesses market requirements and based on the needs of our customers, we develop new software clients on an ongoing basis.
Below follows a list of existing Expansion Clients for ConnexALL®. This list may be expanded on as new features are added.
Report Management Client (RMC)
Complete customizable event reporting is available today. However, this client will offer a full statistical package with impressive graphics and diagrams. Scheduled for release in version 4 of the application, the RMC is a standalone client that enables users to generate advanced reporting related to devices, callpoint events, and system configuration.
Healthcare Informatics Client (HIC)
A custom data record can be used to retrieve and store patient information from an external system using the Healthcare Informatics Client (HIC). The Healthcare Informatics Client listens for patient data from an Admissions, Discharge, Transfer (ADT) Health Level 7 (HL7) System via a TCP/IP interface.
Wallboard Output Client (WOC)
The WOC enables notifications to be sent to industry-standard, third party wallboards.
Voice Response Client (VRC)
The application provides text-to-speech notification to any telephony device, including overhead paging, wired and wireless handsets, and cellular telephones. In addition, the VRC client integrates the application with the facility’s telephone system to enable user interaction via touchtone and voice menus. The primary intent is to allow a user to send predefined messages to pagers and wireless handsets from any touch-tone capable telephone set. As users dial the VRC’s assigned extension number (from an internal extension or even an external telephone), they are immediately presented with a menu of options. If they wish to send a page, they enter the ID number(s) of the devices they wish to notify. Then they select which stored message they wish to transmit by entering its unique message ID. The user can then enter optional digits to the message (i.e. a callback number) and send the message.
Voice Integration Client (VIC)
The VIC provides all existing VRC functionality, in addition to numerous advanced features. The primary intent is to provide fully customizable Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system. Most ConnexALL® commands can be triggered from the VIC and IVR benefits allows input collection and processing and features an integrated security model.
Serial Output Client (SOC)
The SOC provides ConnexALL® with the ability to activate a series of relay contacts. It provides Open/Closed dry relay contacts according to the commands received from the ConnexALL® Notification Server via the SOC. The SOC is also used to interface to a variety of third-party voice announcement systems, video switching applications, etc.
The Desktop Help Button (DHB)
First release of the new "Desktop Help Button" applet was released with ConnexALL® Build: March 31, 2008.
The Desktop Help Button (DHB) is a small executable file that is installed on a local workstation and can be used to trigger a Callpoint from the desktop. The Desktop Help Button is ideal for when you want to enable your staff to send a request from their computer without the need to have full access to the ConnexALL® System. This may be used to trigger an emergency alarm, a request for help, or any other type of notification. You can create up to six different Callpoints in the Desktop Help Button on each workstation that can be used for any type of notification.
