Staff and Patient Safety

A CONNEXALL SOLUTION

Improve Staff Response Times and Alarm Tracking
Security and emergency staff around the world use Connexall to deliver immediate information to first responders, emergency services, staff, and patients, no matter where they are.

Within seconds of an event, Connexall ensures appropriate alerts are dispatched to the primary response person(s) and simultaneously records crucial data for reporting. All events remain active and visible until the issue is resolved and the alarm is reset. Predefined escalation rules ensure that alarms are always routed to and dealt with by someone from the appropriate department. Improving staff safety can be as simple as providing them with badges or phones equipped with a panic button. When the button is pushed, security is immediately notified and can send a responder; at the same time, depending on the badge or phone, they can initiate a conversation with the staff member in distress. Security staff can then respond to the situation faster, knowing details of the situation before they arrive.

Staff and Patient Safety Integrations with Wireless Devices
Integrating multiple systems saves time and money; Connexall makes it easy to communicate safety concerns and security threats in a timely and user-friendly manner.

Connexall can ensure information is relayed from a variety of equipment, including staff duress systems, Man Down alerts from RFID badges, Bed Exit systems, Wandering Patient systems, Infant protection  systems, and Emergency Staff Fan Out/Call Out.

Add Location Information to Alarms
With Location Based Services, Connexall integrates with Near-Time Location Services (RTLS) systems, and can include room-level location data with alarms, based on wearable RFID tags. This allows security team members to know exactly where an event is occurring, speeding up response times, and creating a safer environment for staff.

The same RFID tags can be used to develop a ‘man-down’ alert – if a badge does not move for a pre-defined length of time, security can be alerted to check on the staff member to ensure that they are safe.

Strategic Fan-Out
Connexall can be deployed to send messages to strategic staff members in case of an emergency. Because of the flexibility built in to the system, Connexall can notify staff members via a variety of devices and mediums: cell phones, in-house wireless phones, traditional land-lines, pagers, email, and scrolling marquees are just some of your options. And with response tracking, dispatchers always know who is and is not acknowledging the message and aware of the situation.

Reporting
Included in the core of Connexall is robust management reporting capability, providing management teams with data relevant to their specific departments, and allowing for precise fine tuning of workflow processes. Managers can leverage this tool to improve overall operational efficiency and manage workload.
